Cyber Daily News - Serb Novak Djokovic secured his place in the semi-finals of the ATP
World Tour Finals when he defeated Tomas Berdych 6-3, 7-5 in the final
round robin match on Thursday.
World number one it requires a set to ensure a place as runner-up in Group Stan Smith, under the group champion Roger Federer in the previous match defeating Kei Nishikori.
Djokovic will face Rafael Nadal in the last four which took place Saturday, while the six-time champion Federer will face Stanislas Wawrinka or home favorite Andy Murray.
Djokovic, who was determined to reach his fourth title at the finale held at the O2 Arena in London since 2009, was defeated by Federer on Tuesday to end the unbeaten record for three years in the field in the room.
But he got up to win the opening set with a pair of break and, although much of his best performances, the Serb appeared good enough to finish the match in straight sets.
The only chance the Czech Berdych to reach the semi-finals is to beat Djokovic in straight sets, although with two wins out of 22 meetings will be difficult for him.
