Cyber Daily News - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, on Wednesday (Thursday GMT), said
the settlement of the Syrian conflict should be focused on the need for
strong government in Damascus and not just about the fate of President
Bashar al-Assad.
"It's not about who, but about security and stability of the country," Rouhani said in an interview with a French television station, although he did not directly mention the name of al-Assad.
"We must all strive to combat terrorism in Syria and ensure the return of peace and stability," he said in an interview that was broadcast on the radio Europe 1.
