Cyber Daily News - The strength of the film that can penetrate the boundaries of culture and language encouraging the implementation of Japanese Film Festival (JFF) for the first time in Jakarta."I hope through this work the audience can put more interest and feel more familiar with Japan," said Japanese Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia Kozo Honsei in a media conference here on Thursday.

Director of the Japan Foundation Jakarta Tadashi Ogawa replied that it also seeks to introduce the film to the public Indonesia Japan through film festivals in the country.


According to Ogawa, Christine Hakim newly awarded decorations from the Japanese government and Garin Nugroho is a handful of activists of Indonesian films known in the State Sakura."In the future, we want to introduce such a young director Riri Riza," he said.


Japanese Film Festival 2015 presents 30 live action and animated films, consisting of 11 feature-length films and 19 short films, which screened at CGV Blitz Grand Indonesia, Jakarta on 26 November to 1 December 2015.


FLM selected in this festival are new works that have received awards in want any outside Japan.Japanese Film Festival will open with the screening of "A Chronicle Samurai" which will also be attended by the director Takashi Koizumi.


Length films were screened of which is "Being Good", "The Little House", "The Complex", "The Kirishima Thing," "The Great Passage" and "The Pearls of the Stone Man".


Some animated films will also be shown, namely "The Tale of Princess Kaguya", "Giovanni's Island", "Tamako Love Story" and "Evangelion: 3:33 You Can (not) Redo.".There are also dozens of animated short film works of various filmmakers.


The event is also an opportunity to exchange ideas between filmmakers Indonesia and Japan through open discussion titled "Beyond Anime". The discussion that took place on November 29 at 13.00 was attended by animator Andy Martin and Wahyu Aditya, also Mizue Mirai (director Pocky), Ayaka Nakata (director boundery Line) and Emi Matsumoto (producer Golden Time).


This discussion aims to introduce the trend of Japanese animation that explores new forms and themes, not just identical traits such as large eyes or light-colored hair.


Japanese Film Festival 2015 organized by the Agency for Cultural Affairs - Japan together with the Embassy of Japan in Indonesia, The Japan Foundation, Jakarta, Japan Image Council and HelloMotion as co-organizers.
